A Study on Features of Hot Spring Water Quality in the Middle Area of Korea
Hwang Sang-Yong

Abstract
The result of investigating the chemical element of 9 hot spring water in the middle area of Korea after analyzing them from Sep. 1, 2000. to Jun. 30, 2001. shows that differing from the active volcano area in other countryies, the area is made up of the extinct volcano grounds, and the surface water is in condition of being heated by the terrestrial heat. Additionally, those elements are shown as belonging to the simple hot spring which contains less content of elements. The conclusion is as follows. 1. In order to estimate the transition element of those which are dissolved in the hot spring water, before analyzing with the atom extinction method, the result of estimating the sensitivity and detection limitation in the air C©üH©ü and N©üO-C©üH©ü flame showed that each atom is more sensitive in the flame of air-C©üH©ü than in the N©üO-C©üH©ü flame. 2. Li and Na was being increased proportionately. 3. The element relation in Ca and SO©þ, Ca and Mg, Cl and Ca, Na and Ca showed the proportionate relationship, and this is thought that each ion which is the element of rocks was flown into the hot spring water.
